Hi all! I'm sorry if it seems like all i do is moan when i come on here!! (i know it feels like it!) To be honest i'm having such problems with Morgan's aggression i'm constantly being used as a punch bag! Hit, kicked, Bitten, Head butted and Pinched. I'm going out of my mind!! it is sometimes when he can't get his own way! other times there just doesn't seem to be any reason for this behavior, i have got to the point where i have to restrain him and trust me that's really not easy! for someone who spends most of his time being so frail hes got one hell of a punch on him.... Is anyone else having these problems? or could anyone just give me abit of advice i have tried most things and they haven't worked, so i'm really quite desperate!! Thanks in advance for any advice or just the peace of mind of knowing that i'm not alone in this what seems to be a hell hole! Love to all Lisa and morgan Lissencephaly and polymicrogyria

Hi Lisa, I really can say you are not alone with this problem, Casey started getting really bad a couple of years ago , it took a year for anyone to believe me she was as bad as i was saying even with a cut on my head and covered in bruises, she was able to play on the floor at this stage and she also broke lots of things by throwing them or throwing things at them, i even put stair gates at the kitchen door so i would have somewhere to escape from her while she was hurting me, i would end up in tears begging her to stop hurting me, i spent ages asking for help and all they came up with was move out of her way, wear padding on my arms or walk away and let someone else take over, ( bit hard when your a single mum ) In the end i videoed one of her out breaks and they finally realised how bad she was, not that it made any difference, i have just learnt to deal with it, althow most of the time she gets me by surprise, she also can be playing happy and just flips, it happened in front of the doctor once and lasted about 15mins then she just stopped and started clapping and telling me she was a good girl, the doctor thinks that some of it is seizure activity so her meds were altered and it did ease a bit, ( saying that with an arm full of bruises and a massive one on my leg lol ) , I would really like to be able to give you an answer to all this but if the truth be known i dont think there is one, Take care, Karen xx

Hi Karen, Boy it sounds like your house hold is a crazy as mine! Morgan also throws things and yeah normally at me!(or his sister) i am a single mum so i can totally understand what you say about it being hard for someone else to take over for a while, I've also tried the walking away, ignoring, and the moving him away from me (that's when i get a car in the side of my head)lol you have to laugh!! I must admit that i have thought of filming him when he kicks off because like Casey no one seems to believe me when i tell them how bad it is, Until!! i show them the bruises and cuts. but they then still look at Morgan as if to say how can such a sweet little boy really be that bad!!(if only they knew). I think it's time to look at his meds it's not as though his seizures are under control with the ones hes on, and see if anything there could be making the situation worse and hopefully with a few changes things will start to improve(I/we can live in hope) Many thanks for your kind words and I'm sorry you are going through the hell I am going through, I am glad I'm not alone and let me reassure you that you are not alone either. if ever you feel the need to talk or just to moan (as i do) please feel free to email me and/or add me to msn. Take care and i hope things start to look up for you. Lisa and Morgan xxx

I work with an individual that has lissencephaly and she does have these same behavior issues. Why are these issues common with this brain disorder?
